Tom and Jacquie:
While you probably receive letters each day from individuals who want
to tell you what a positive experience they had building with Miracle
Homes, I guess that doesn't stop me from feeling compelled to send you
another. In short, we had a great experience with Miracle Homes as our
builder. It may have taken a bit longer than we expected, but we can say,
in all honesty, that it was worth the wait, and we are enjoying the house
thoroughly.
From the very first time that we made contact with one of your sales people
(Brian Johnson), we realized that Miracle Homes was a very professional,
top-notch organization. As our first experience with building, we knew
that our naiveté about such matters would make us vulnerable to
a builder that might readily take advantage of situation like ours, to
their benefit and our loss. We did not experience this with Miracle Homes.
Instead, we were always treated with the highest level of respect and
kindness, no matter who we came in contact with from your organization.
Never was there a negative or condescending word, thought, or feeling
expressed toward us, and we never felt like we were asking a dumb question.
We needed a lot of "hand holding" as the experience unfolded,
and your people were always there to provide it. Both Brian and Kris (employee
from your Appleton office) were outstanding in this respect, providing
the answers to our questions, pleasantly, professionally, and expediently.
Once the actual building process was initiated, we realized that we couldn't
have been assigned a better construction manager than Gary Nelson. The
breadth of his experience and the "fatherly" type of guidance
that he provided at all steps along the way were exactly what we needed
to feel secure about everything. We knew from day one that we were going
to have a high quality home when we were finished, with Gary in charge.
He always kept us informed about what was going on and returned our phone
calls promptly when we had questions As I noted previously, things took
a while longer than what we had planned for, but I did not attribute this
to anything Gary was doing wrong. We really believe that he tried to get
our home completed as quickly as possible, without compromising any aspect
of its quality. We realize that there are factors even beyond his control
when it comes to dealing with subcontractors. Since the house has been
completed, Gary has been very accommodating in addressing any unfinished
items of business. In summary, he has been and continues to be a great
guy to work with.
Probably the most important aspect of the whole building experience was
the level of trust that we were able to maintain in all of your people
and the organization, itself. We really never felt the need to worry about
the most important and biggest matters associated with building. We were
able to "put things in your hands", feeling assured that matters
would be addressed appropriately, without the fear of being taken advantage
of. For this and all that I have listed above, we offer our gratitude
and praises. Positive recommendations to others will come very easy for
us.
We wish the best for you and your company and all those who work for you.
Take care and God bless.
Sincerely,
Matt and Beth
Dear Tom and Jacquie,
My husband recently reminded me that bonus compensation is based upon
customer satisfaction. I am very sorry that it has taken this long to
reply, please extend a sincere apology to those awaiting our feedback.
My husband and I purchased our first one and only home back in 1983. When
we bought our house we had friends who complimented us on what a nice
"starter home" we had. To us, this was not a starter home. We
planned to remodel our investment. The thought of building a home was
just that, "a thought!" I believed that only "rich"
people could afford to build a home. So as time went on, we remodeled
our home. Knowing that this was the one and only home for us we renovated
with quality in mind and we were pleased with our end product.
The decision to leave our secure neighborhood was fostered by major changes
that unexpectedly took place in our lives. It was in fall of 2004 that
we decided to start seriously looking at our options. We gathered information
from family and friends that were building and decided to test the waters.
On October 31st which was our 23rd anniversary we decided to check out
a Bielinski sub division in Oak Creek. We spent hours looking at their
model homes that day. The feeling became a reality when at 5:00 we found
ourselves signing a contract to build. As we went through the contract
I began feeling excited, yet sick to my stomach as we were pressured into
making a decision that day. The pressure was high, if we wanted to save
$$$$'s we needed to sign that night because the cost savings promotion
would end that day and of course the lots were selling like "hotcakes".
Not! (Lots are still available there today). On our way driving home I
looked over at my husband and said: "What did we just do?" I
told him it did not feel right. He said he felt the same and within a
day or two we requested our down payment back. We decided to do more homework
and look around a bit longer.
It was on a rainy weekday when we were driving around
and came across the Miracle models in Sussex. We looked at a distance
until we saw the "Sister Bay". We both had to agree that it
was a classy looking house. We immediately wanted to tour the home but
it wasn't open to tour at that time. We peeked in the windows and fell
in love with the house. At that point we had not yet toured a Miracle
Home but we quickly saw the difference in comparison to the Bielinski
home. The design of this home had far more character, it looked very warm
and inviting and that was just through a look into the window. I felt
like a child in a toy store as we peered in, I couldn't wait till later
to take a tour. In desperation we ran to the Miracle model next door where
we notice a Miracle homes vehicle parked. This model had just been sold
and the owner happened to be there selecting mode) furnishings that he
wanted to purchase. We asked the Miracle home employee if there was any
chance we might be able to see the Sister Bay. With some persuasion he
let us in. We knew immediately when we stepped in this was the home we
wanted. The Sister Bay had a very special elegance with so many decorating
possibilities. I wanted elegance but practicality and this was the answer.
The next day John Nehs contacted us; We told him our story and how we
fell in love with the Sister Bay. We didn't think we could afford it but
we wanted more information. John was extremely sensitive to our needs,
wants and financial concerns.
We felt the difference between this experience and the "Bielinski"
experience, the high pressure sales was missing. I think we had sticker
shock initially but quickly recognized that there was far more quality
and character built into Miracle Homes in comparison to other builders.
We felt relaxed in our decision to move forward with a purchase because
John put our minds at ease. It was obvious that he believed in the product
he was selling and displayed sincerity in all his actions. He showed genuine
interest in us as people not just dollar signs. John was sincerely a pleasure
to work with. I think John was beginning to think that we lived at the
model because every chance we had we would go out to the model and dream.
Not knowing how things would progress I was a little afraid when we found
out that John would no longer be working with us. He did assure us that
our construction site manager, Jim Larson was a great guy and he really
knew his stuff.
My sister-in-law recently built a home in Franklin so she began to tell
us what to expect and watch out for. When I told her we were having a
pre-dig meeting her response was "Wow! I wish we would have had one
of those." She said she didn't get to meet her CSM in advance. She
warned me about things that could happen along the way but I must say
that we really did not run into the "nonsense" that she was
dealing with, with her builder.
Are first acquaintance with Jim Larson was at the pre-dig meeting. I thought,
"Hmm, I wonder what this guy is going to be like to work with, he
is awfully quiet!" Well, it didn't take long to break him in. Jim
quickly opened up as he realized we were not going to bite.
Both my husband and I felt blessed to have had Jim as our construction
site manager. I never really thought about the vast responsibilities of
a CSM until I saw what Jim was all responsible for. John was right; Jim
really does know his stuff! He is definitely a strong project manager.
His skill set is diverse and widely applicable to the work he is in charge
of. He is a resourceful problem solver with proven ability to bring quick
resolution to challenging situations. It's obvious that he too believes
in the product he is in charge of. He certainly is focused on not only
achieving but surpassing customer service expectations. Dave and I feel
he should be recognized for this. He worked closely with us making sure
we were up to date on the next steps and he continuously made sure that
we were satisfied. He was prompt and very professional in addressing questions
or concerns we had. Jim's proficiency in developing and building client
relationships from initial contact to the closing of the contract is admirable.
We feel our home has a unique personality and we are proud of it. We would,
and have recommend Miracle Homes to others. Thank you for making this
experience which occurred at a very difficult time in our life a positive
one.
Sincerely, Dave, Diane, Thomas and Jonathan
